A PINCH OF SALT ON NATURE WALKS!

A pinch of salt on nature walks...

I went on a nature walk in the hills of Munnar to see the blooming Kurinji flowers and it was really worth the wait. Though how all the little plants in the hills know its time to make a lavander splash every 12 years is incredible. FABULOUS colours on the hills!!!

But guess what else I got? Three leeches on my leg...Black, slimy oozy leeches Yikes!!!

Here's a tip for all you guys carry some humble table salt along. throw some salt on the leeches they dehydrate, shrivel up and die. But to their credit it was not painful and just itched like a mild mosquito bite.

Be prepared for circular purple marks and gushing rivulets of blood from the attack points.
Anyway I'm no more queasy about leeches or scared. In fact they are simply harmless suckers that get attached to you!
